Alumni and Development
The Development Office at Brighton College was set up in 2010 and works with Old Brightonians, parents, and friends of the College to raise funds for the development of the school's facilities and for scholarships and bursaries for pupils.
Our ambitious and exciting programme of capital development and refurbishment would not be possible without the help and support of the wider College community, and we are immensely grateful to all those who choose to support the College in this way, working with us to build a bright future for Brighton College.
Unlike its independent school counterparts, Brighton is not a wealthy school and cannot rely on an investment portfolio created by the founding fathers to fund capital projects. In recent years the school has generated a small surplus to fund renovation and some capital work, but in its long history it has relied upon philanthropic donations to fund major work. In order to maintain its beautiful Victorian buildings and provide first class modern facilities, the school has to run a 'tight ship' but also to seek the financial support of parents, former pupils, friends and generous institutions
The Old Brightonians Association was founded in 1882 and continues to go from strength to strength, providing over 5,000 Old Brightonians with a network of individuals who have the shared experience of an education at Brighton College. It provides pupils past and present with an opportunity to socialise, network, play sports, enjoy the arts, share career advice and to enjoy continued collaboration with the school for the benefit of current and future pupils. The OB Website is updated daily with news and events, and we also have a Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter account.
We are always delighted to hear from friends of the College and, if you are able to visit the School in person, we would be very pleased to see you.
Brighton College is a charity registered in England and Wales. Our charity registration number is 307061.
