Junior Debating Club

In Junior Debating Club pupils in the Third and Fourth Form practise their speech-writing and public speaking skills, thinking about controversial topics and debating them in the British parliamentary style. We train for and compete in younger school debating and public speaking competitions in between houses, in the county and nationally. It is a great place to learn and use the self-presentation, persuasion and logical thinking skills required throughout life.

Middle School Debating Club

In Middle School Debating Club pupils in the Fifth Form practise their speech-writing and public speaking skills, thinking through controversial topics and debating them in the British parliamentary style. We train for and compete in school debating and public speaking tournaments in between houses, in the county and nationally. It is a great place to learn and use the self-presentation, persuasion and logical thinking skills required throughout life.

Sixth Form Debating Club

In the Sixth Form Debating Club pupils in the Sixth Form practise their speech-writing, public speaking and debating skills, thinking about controversial topics and debating them in the British parliamentary style. We train for and compete in school debating and public speaking tournaments in between houses, in the county and nationally. The Debating Club allows Sixth-Formers to sharpen their analytical thinking and argumentative ability, as well as allowing them to polish the skills in persuasion and oratory that will serve them at university and in public life.
