Diamond Jubilee Celebration

The College celebrated Her Majesty The Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
On Friday afternoon in a sunny Front Quad bedecked with bunting and flags, the College celebrated Her Majesty The Queen's Diamond Jubilee. The event started with a Coronation Chicken picnic whilst listening to the most excellent College Swing Band. Following rousing renditions of God Save the Queen and Sing, Sing, Sing, we settled down to enjoy an array of House entertainments; highlights included the return of the Durnford Morris Men and the Maypole Dancers of Head's House. After Fancy Dress prizes were awarded, soloist Corinne Hull (U6th, Chichester) led a glorious Rule, Britannia! before the entire College performed a flash mob dance to Chris Brown's Turn Up the Music. The formalities concluded with the Diamond Jubilee Prayer.
