Graduation Service and Ceremony
29/06/12
Thursday 28th June saw the Graduation Service and Ceremony for our Upper Sixth Leavers - the formal event to mark their departure from the College, in advance of the informal festivities of the Leavers' Ball at the Hilton Metropole.
Family, friends and staff crowded into the Chapel to celebrate the achievements of each and every member of the Upper Sixth, punctuated by some heart-warming and humorous reminiscences, provided by Rebecca Dancer (Wi) and Omar Risk (Al). Teddy Truneh (Le) and Henry Tydeman (Le) performed a beautifully atmospheric musical interlude, with Corinne Hull also entertaining us with her song about The Latte Boy.
The Guest of Honour, Mr John Spencer, provided the leavers with some sage advice, encouraging them to go out into the world, looking forward, not back, and with a determination to use their education for the benefit of others. We wish all of this year's leavers the very best of luck in the future.
