College Open Mornings
Design Technology
Design & Technology in the Third Form is aimed at fostering enthusiasm for Design and Engineering, and developing confidence with a range of design and manufacturing skills.Topics are taught as part of long term projects that pupils often work on in groups, and often culminate in a competitions or demonstrations.
Lower Third (Year 7)
Pupils in the Lower Third carry out two main design projects that enable them to gain valuable experience in the design studio and the workshops.

Upper Third (Year 8)
Pupils in the Upper Third work in small teams on the 'F1 in schools' engineering challenge. The teams use CAD/CAM to design and manufacture a scale model of an F1 car which is tested on a high speed track. The pupils compete to represent the College in the international F1 in schools competition.

Trips and Extra-curricular
Lower School pupils at Brighton College love to spend free time in the Design Technology workshops developing their projects or attending one of the range of clubs and activities that are on offer.
