Brighton beat Wellington on Day 2 of Cricket Festival

Sport(s): CricketBrighton 1st XI continued their winning streak in the BOWS Festival with a 6 wicket victory over Wellington. Brighton were asked to field first and Jethro Menzies made an early breakthrough. The team fielded well including two catches each for Thornely and Chapman. All bowlers picked up wickets, with the most successful being Charles Davies with figures of 3 for 22 and Yass Bahemou 4 for 37. Wellington were bowled out for 178.
In reply Eswar Kalidasan ans Sofie Cawley opened the batting and looked to see off the new ball. Two wickets fell which brought Adam Davies to the crease who compiled a great captain's innings of 82 not out (ably supported by Hugh Richards (36)) to see the College home for a win by 6 wickets.
Brighton head into the final day as the only undefeated team at the festival.
