Keira had an excellent weekend of fencing at the National British Fencing Championships in Nottingham recently. She came second in the Women’s U17 Sabre Cadet final in a toughly fought contest. The following day she fenced in the Junior U20 competition to also come second – a superbly impressive result indeed.
It has moved her to second nationally in the rankings for Cadets and sixth in the rankings for Juniors, consolidating her nomination this season to represent GBR in international competitions. It is a fantastic reward for her commitment and dedication to the demanding pre-season training over the summer months. She will now fence for the First GBR Women’s Sabre Team. Her first international competition will be in Godollo, Hungary in October and we wish her the best of luck!
