Well done to the U16 and U18 hockey squads who successfully won their respective county round pools to qualify for the South East Regional Indoor Hockey Finals.
Hosting this event for the very first time in the Neville Abraham Sports Hall, the U16s controlled the entirety of their match, with Captain Dina netting a five-minute
hattrick and Milly finishing neatly to cap off a resounding victory.
The U18s then took to the boards, with all but two players forming the starting line-up of last year’s U16 indoor team. The girls blew away their first opponents in the opening half, finally running out 9-2 winners, with Olivia scoring five of the nine goals. It was all set up for a winner takes all showdown in the final match of the evening and Brighton’s clinical edge in the attacking circle was the difference, executing their corners successfully to run away with a 4-0 win, thanks to a brace of goals each from Olivia and Emily.
