Ink-making, candle dipping and amulet crafting were just some of the exciting activities Year 4 enjoyed getting involved with, as part of their Anglo-Saxon Day. Sue, from History Off the Page was brilliant and set up a variety of hands-on activities for the children, as well as immersing them into the life of an Anglo-Saxon. The children were told a variety of stories around the fire and were encouraged to find out the Anglo-Saxon gossip of the town. In the afternoon, they got the opportunity to become archaeologists which they found interesting. Everyone looked wonderful in their costumes and had a great day of action-packed learning.
