Best results in history
With 76.4% of grades at A* or A, Brighton College is celebrating the best results in the college's history, up from 70% last year.
An incredible 47 pupils secured no grade below an A grade with ten securing A*s in everything. The top performers were Fergus Blair, Nathania Hall, Eleanor Barnett, Hugh Jeffery, James Stone, Katie Siegler, Paymahn Seyed-Safi, Nick Greenaway, Tara Bhimji and Michael Assin.
Among those celebrating are 4 pairs of twins: Ben and Caitlin Horner, Christopher and Laura Hill, Tara and Shane Bhimji, Matthew and Stuart Waugh.
Fergus Blair Head Master, Richard Cairns is delighted: "These are the best GCSE results in the history of Brighton College . The pupils and their teachers deserve every congratulation - not least because they also devoted so much energy and enthusiasm to other areas of school life: sport, music, drama and dance among so many other things. Those who are enthused beyond the classroom are usually those who are also happy and positive in the classroom. It also shows what can happen when you begin to attract the very best teachers in England to your school. Good teachers transform lives."
Important notice: All Brighton College students are entered for public examinations using the College's centre number. No students are entered as private candidates or using a different centre number.
