6th Form Photography

02/07

Upper and Lower 6th Form Photography pupils have produced an exceptional collection of works which delve into the ever altering states of the human condition.

They have intelligently captured and analysed notions of the self, where we fit into our immediate community and the boundaries of social awareness which are all explored in-depth to an incredible level of dexterity. The images comprise of black and white darkroom enlargements which have been painstakingly manipulated and split toned to enhance colour variation and texture within each piece. A very experimental and different exhibition, almost maverick in approach, has led our pupils through a journey of visual language which has defined an unprecedented year of hard work. The extensive range of Brighton College talent is currently displayed in Photography and can still be viewed. All are welcome to come along.

The current L6th Form Photographers moving into U6th have also enjoyed practical studio lighting workshop given by the professional photographer Tim O'Sullivan, who gave invaluable advice and taught from his extensive and star studded portfolio of portraiture, which includes names such as Dame Judi Dench and Sir Paul McCartney. An excellent and productive day was enjoyed by all.
