Trips and Activities
We are in contact with local and London theatres and frequently arrange trips to see performances that we feel will benefit the pupils. Our most recent visits were to see the enigmatic Patrick Stewart perform Macbeth at the Gielgud Theatre in the West End and the RSC production of Romeo and Juliet.
Each autumn, we take the whole school to see the current Shakespeare4kidz production. In-house workshops (run by actors from the company) then build on the pupils’ understanding of the play in a fun and dynamic way. This year’s production was Romeo and Juliet. Talks by visiting writers are arranged several times a year, the most recent being Anne Fine (winner of the Carnegie Medal and Children's Laureate for 2001-2003).
