Le Château de la Baudonniere - October 2007
Year 8 Residential Trip to Normandy
Year 8 pupils and 7 teachers had a brilliant stay at the Château de la Baudonnière in France. The pupils were all involved in a range of activities which were all led by French animateurs/animatrices who didn't speak a word of English! The pupils conquered fears by climbing walls and abseiling and became mud monsters by doing the assault course through the forest. They also led each other blindfolded around the forest. They became professional bakers and their efforts were rewarded by eating their own bread. They ate snails (14 was the record!) and shopped in the local market. There were some Robin Hoods in the making in archery and some excelled at the fencing activity. We all found ourselves not wanting to come home at the end of the five days!
C'était fantastique au Château!
