Normandy
Le Château de la Baudonniere - October 2008
Year 7 and 8 Residential Trip to Normandy
Year 7 and 8 returned in October from France along with their 14 teachers. We had a fantastic stay at the Château de la Baudonnière in Normandy, despite the wet weather! All pupils had a wonderful time practising their French in many different activities; they got caked in mud in the assault course, conquered fears climbing walls and abseiling down, became bakers as they made and ate their own bread, discovered a great new sport called aéroballe (a combination of trampolining, volley ball and basket ball), took part in archery, fencing, a French lesson, orienteering, a treasure hunt and bowling. They ate snails (20 was the record by a year 8 pupil!) and enjoyed shopping at a local market. A great time was had by all and I am sure it will be a trip they will remember fondly for years to come.
C'était fantastique au Château!
