On fait de l’éscrime en France!

We, at Brighton College Prep School, want pupils to enjoy learning French and to reach high standard of competence in all four skill areas. Pupils begin their French studies at the Prep school in Year 4 and are taught by a specialist member of staff. They are introduced to all four skills, but gradually write more as they move through the school.

J’adore les cuisses de grenouille!

Years 7 and 8 see children preparing for Common Entrance but it is not all just hard work in the classroom. Year 7 pupils stay in France and practise using the language at Le Chateau de la Baudonniere, in Normandy. They take part in a huge range of activities with all instructions given in French.
