School Council

The school council consists of 15 representatives - one pupil from each of the 15 forms. The school councillor is voted for by his/her peers and elections take place in the first few weeks of the school year.

The councillors meet on a regular basis to put forward ideas that have been raised in PSHE or form time. The council then discuss these ideas in the school council meeting, which is chaired by Mrs Griffiths. Examples of proposals are playground rules/games, fundraising and extra-curricular club suggestions. Recent successful suggestions have resulted in the installation of water dispensers in the school, a flagpole outside the front door and skipping ropes in the north playground. The councillors will stand for the whole year.
