Prep School Open Mornings
Library
The Prep School Library was refurbished during April 2011 and now looks even more stunning than ever. Housing a fantastic stock of books, magazines, DVDs and CDs the Library is sure to have something to inspire and interest everyone.
Morning breaks are a good time to browse for a favourite book or visit the internet for your school project. At lunch times there are great clubs to join such as Reading Club, Typing Club, Photography Club and, of course, Library Club.
During lessons, classes come down to the Library to choose books, listen to stories or conduct research using the brand new suite of 24 networked computers with Smart Board. There is always something happening.
Especially popular is our annual round of events and activities. The Book Fair run during the Lent term is always well attended and our eagerly awaited author visits are hugely entertaining. Informative, funny and inspiring, these visits make reading and writing accessible to children in a way that perhaps nothing else could. There is nothing quite like actually meeting a famous author to encourage children to read something new or pick up a pen themselves.
