Brighton College is fortunate enough to have its own Gallery, which falls under the auspices of the Art School. International and local artists have exhibited in this space as well as pupils and staff.
The space comprises of 31 metres of wall space in what is the foyer of the Great Hall. This means parents attending music and drama events often have a surprise encounter with our latest exhibition. Out of term time, the Burstow Gallery is available for private hire and we are often able to leave work in place, or will happily remove it if required.
With that said, the Art staff at Brighton College have used the space over the past five years as a teaching tool for pupils to see works by (amazingly) Picasso, Matisse, Caulfield, Kollwitz, and Martin Parr as well as a host of local artists. In our line-up of artistic highlights over the past year, the Burstow Gallery has featured highly.
Throughout the College term Art Work will always be on display in the Burstow Gallery.
