Aldrich
The Aldrich CrestAldrich is one of the five day Houses situated in a new location near the Sutherland Road entrance. The site has immaculate modern facilities such as new lockers, a computer suite, an open plan layout and air conditioning. It also has an excellent kitchen, toilet, shower and changing area as well as leather sofas and two pool tables!
It is a vibrant house of 60 pupils and 6 staff. Aldrich prides itself as being an environment which fosters friendships, mutual respect and an enthusiasm for life. Every Aldrichian is encouraged to work hard, participate in a broad range of activities and develop a sensitive awareness of others in the world. Aldrich is an extremely proactive House in initiating events and raising money for charitable causes.

The Housemaster is Mr Graham Hart: ghart@brightoncollege.net
He is in his sixth year of housemastering after joining the college as a Mathematics teacher. He is a keen sports coach overseeing the U14A Cricket, U15A Girls Hockey and U15C Football teams. He also oversees the House Charity group. This year he has become a member of the Choral Society.
He is supported by five house tutors, who have responsibilities for each of the year groups in addition to their subject teaching.

Mr Merrett is a Mathematics teacher also involved in running Rugby, Football and Cricket teams, as well as helping with the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. He will become the Deputy Head of the Lower School in September 2009. - Dr Lillington, Lower 5th: mlillington@brightoncollege.net
Dr Lillington is a new member of the Chemistry department having just completed his postgradute degree. He is a keen singer who is a member of the Choral Society. - Mr. K. Pointer, Upper 5th: kpointer@brightoncollege.net
Mr Pointer is a member of the Design and Technology department and a keen (and talented) Footballer.

Mr Collie is a Biology and Chemistry teacher and the joint Head of PSHE. He runs the Sailing activity and manages Rugby and Football teams. He is also a Navy officer in the Combined Cadet Force. - Mr R.Cowan, Upper 6th: rcowan@brightoncollege.net
Mr Cowan is the current Head of Chemistry.
