House Rugby - Losing the battle but winning the Waughs
Although the House was narrowly beaten in very closely competed finals for both L5th and Senior Rugby, the boys showed real spirit in the way they fought; a Leconfield trait. Particularly noticeable were the efforts and commitment of the Waugh brothers, Peter, also Head of House, Steven and Matthew. It was the first, and probably only, occassion in which all three brothers were able to play on the same team.
The Lower fifth lost in sudden death after a hotly contested final where luck, playing up the hill and into the wind, worked against us this time.
