Contacting Williams House
Your first point of contact on all academic and pastoral matters should be with the Housemistress, Mrs Alison Withers . If you wish to make contact with me at any time please contact the Williams House number for my office (01273 704381). Please do leave a voicemail message if I am not there and I will return your call as soon as possible.
Contacting us in the House and Issues of routine
It is very important that parents contact us in the House, with any concerns great all small about their daughters.
Please do contact us by telephone at any time. It is also possible to contact the main school switchboard in an emergency if you cannot get us at our desks on: 01273 704200.
Parents contact the House for a range of reasons, and it is important that House staff are aware of all situations however big or small which may affect the school day for their daughters, from domestic upsets, to changes in routine, holiday arrangements if they affect term dates and bereavements. We ask that the House is contacted as soon as possible in these events so that we can take charge of pastoral care during the school day and be pro-active in helping the girls in our care.
Absences
Please contact the House before 8am in the event of absence for the school day. Please state the name of your daughter, the date of the absence, the reason for absence and the likely time away from school. If necessary please also leave a contact number so we can return your call. Please also inform us is writing 48 hours in advance if your daughter is going to be missing school to attend a medical / dental appointment (if known in advance).
Lateness
The girls are responsible for registering in the House at 8.20am. If they miss registration they need to sign in the late book, at the main reception. They will then need to explain their lateness to one of the members of House staff at second registration. A letter or a phone call from parents is also required to explain lateness.
