Sport Science & PE

The Sport Science and Physical Education Department at Brighton College is made up of Core PE, GCSE and A-Level PE, with the Sports Leader Course and Strength and Conditioning supporting the Games Department.

There are over one hundred pupils involved with the current courses.  Academically the department is one of the top performing departments in the college, which is a reflection of the passion for sport that many of the pupils have.

The theories and concepts covered in GCSE and A Level PE are a central part of the sports programme, with many pupils incorporating theory into improving their personal performance.

There is a dedicated classroom with audio visual support and direct access to the Strength and Conditioning Room and Sports Hall.

The department has links with the Sport Science Department at Sussex University, as well as Strength and Conditioning Departments at Sussex CCC and Harlequins RFC.

Aims and Objectives of the Department
