PSHE
Personal and Social Health Education
School provides a key role in the social education of young adults. They learn to interact with their peers and form strong friendships. Pupils will come across a broad range of backgrounds, nationalities and personalities at Brighton College which will provide them with diverse understanding.
PSHE exists to further that understanding and provide a non-judgemental atmosphere in which the pupils can discuss issues that may affect them or their friends, now or in the future.
PSHE covers a wide range of topics from Relationships and Health to Citizenship, Study Skills and Ethics. This is taught as a series of Event Days to each Year Group, followed up in tutor time with staff who know them well.
By giving our teenagers a wider context than school, we can hopefully encourage and stimulate them to further develop their own ideas.
