The House System

The house system at the Prep School is a core part of the daily lives of our pupils. There are four houses; St Andrew’s, St David’s, St George’s and St Patrick’s. Each child is placed in a house when they arrive at the school. There is a thriving interhouse competition which encompasses all areas of school life, from the academic to the artistic to the sporting. Every child is given the chance to represent their house and win points that go towards either the work cup or the activities cup, awarded at the end of the year.

The competition between the houses is a healthy one with the children taking great pride in their own house, whilst being taught to respect the other houses’ achievements and successes. We believe that the house system is a great strength of the pastoral care system here at the Prep School.
