Following the recent briefing from the Government, we are preparing for the possibility of schools partially returning during June.

Should the Government decide that pupils must return to school, the NHS Staff Support Hub will no longer be able to operate from the Nursery & Pre-Prep site.

It has been wonderful to offer support to the NHS for the last five weeks, and we’re proud that we’ve been nominated for a community hero award by the Mayor of Brighton for this initiative.

We’ve given out up to 500 packs per day, with over 100 volunteers from our community helping. We have also been able to offer our school playing field for NHS staff parking during this time.

A staggering £4,500 has been raised, which we will be donating to NHS charities, and all excess food from the hub will be given to the Whitehawk Foodbank, a charity supported by the whole BC family of schools.

Although the Staff Support Hub will no longer be operational we know there is still an enormous amount of work being done within our community, under the Brighton Together project, which we will continue to celebrate each week in our school newsletter and on social media.

An enormous thank you to everyone involved!
