Excellent all round

The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) gave the College and the Prep School a perfect score in every single category in their Inspection Report, conducted at the end of 2021.

In addition to meeting every point in the Regulatory Compliance Inspection, the Educational Quality Inspection gave us the highest possible rating of 'Excellent' in the two key areas assessed - the quality of pupils' achievements, and the quality of pupils' personal development.

Pupils grow into young adults with well-grounded self-confidence and a firm belief in their ability to succeed and to make a difference.”

When you read the reports you will note that we actually had two inspections take place simultaneously: Regulatory Compliance and Educational Quality.

The Regulatory Compliance Inspection report is a pass/fail exercise that uses standard phrases and language. The College and Prep were found to have met all eight compliance standards.

The Educational Quality Inspection report is the much fuller, second part of the report and focuses in detail upon the educational experience of pupils at Brighton.

I am delighted for our pupils and our teachers that their values and achievements have been recognised in such glowing terms by the inspectors. It means a lot to all of us to have external affirmation of this nature.”
