The release of this year’s A-level results has set a new record for Brighton College, with our Sixth Formers once again excelling to deliver an astonishing set of grades.
The Times have listed us as the top school in England based on our A*-B results (97%).
We are so pleased to say that:
- 42% of our grades were A*, a College record (versus 8% nationally)
- Our most common grade was an A*
- 20% of pupils got three A*s (or equivalent) or more
- Over half of our Upper Sixth achieved A*/A in their subjects
Head Master Richard Cairns said: “This was a year group whose company I hugely enjoyed and will greatly miss. They were slightly quirky, wonderfully colourful and just a little bit irreverent. They never took themselves too seriously and they wore their ability lightly. That modesty makes me even more proud that it was they who have broken our already impressive A-level record. I am thrilled for all of them.”
Congratulations to all of our Upper Sixth. You all worked so hard, and we couldn’t more proud of you than we are today.
