In previous years during their weekly Community Service sessions, our Sixth Form pupils have visited local residential homes, which unfortunately has not been possible during the current pandemic. Whilst we look forward to resuming our lounge visits as soon as is safe, we have worked hard to stay in contact with these homes throughout the year, and have adapted well to telephone befriending conversations, organised through Time to Talk Befriending, a fantastic local charity tackling loneliness through friendship, connection and engagement.
This week many of our pupils have been writing Christmas cards for residents to receive at Christmas, with over 100
cards written and sent out. The CCF were particularly happy to write cards for the residents of the Blind Veterans
home in Ovingdean!
