As part of the Brighton Fringe, the Lower Sixth put on a production of Tristan & Yseult. Their rendition of the star-crossed love left the audience speechless, with a mesmerising performance that wowed beyond expectations.
It was clear that every scene had been delicately crafted, with lucid storytelling and brilliant group choreography. In the midst of wonderfully hilarious moments of comedy, there were also brief seconds of silence which seemed to express a profound complexity of emotions, making hearts throb.
Perfectly blending serious and light, the performance provided a poignant experience which left us in both laughter and tears. With the combination of fantastic audience participation, dazzling visuals and live music, we were able to appreciate the true zest of live theatre.
Once again demonstrating the talent of the drama and music departments, Tristan & Yseult was another extraordinary production.
