‘Jambo’ from Year 5. The pupils have had a brilliantly colourful morning celebrating Kenya recently, ending their geography topic in style. We saw a vast rainbow of colour with Kenyan themed mufti clothes that matched the wonderful Kenyan themed crafts. Each class had the opportunity to learn how to: promote conservation of endangered species with badge making ‘Save the Rhino’, create Maasai style jewellery with a bead workshop and design your own African scratch picture and Maasai necklace. To complete our enrichment morning, pupils watched a fascinating presentation about St. Christopher’s School in Nairobi, kindly made by one of the school’s Year 5 teachers. The best part is that now we have a contact with another international school and they will get the opportunity to see a presentation of our school and life in Year 5.
