Throughout the year, College parents are invited to a wide range of events and activities organised by the Brighton College Society.
The Society provides a forum in which parents can have fun, meet other parents and interact with members of the Common Room in an informal way. Parents of all pupils from Lower Third upwards are eligible for Society membership.
As new 4th Form parents fearing that we would know no one, we were pleasantly surprised to see various familiar faces and found plenty to talk about.”
— Fiona, Fourth Form Parent
In the past we have enjoyed an exciting and varied programme which has included trips to the theatre, a visit to a vineyard, guided tours of galleries, walks in the wilderness, outings to the opera and our annual Burns Night supper and ceilidh. We also have regular staff-led lectures and lessons, where members of the Common Room share their specialist knowledge.
We had a wonderful time on Burns Night. We both thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. As our first Brighton College Society event, we were struck by how friendly and fun it was. It was very easy to mingle and enjoy the evening.”
— Judith, Lower Third Parent
