The Brighton College Nursery is an integral part of our Pre-Prep site and is where our pupils begin their educational journey with us. Bright and spacious, the Nursery is purpose-built to educate younger children in their preparation for Reception. It houses two learning spaces, a playground, and a large playing field.

Small numbers, big ideas

Children in the Nursery are introduced to an inspiring and creative Early Years curriculum, enhanced by a wide variety of exciting learning opportunities. Small groups allow us to really get to know your child, ensuring they receive the highest level of individual attention to encourage their learning and growing.

My daughter has had a lovely start to the year at Nursery and we have felt really welcomed to the Brighton College family.”

Our teachers

Our Nursery staff are highly qualified and experienced primary teachers who are passionate and caring. They are Early Years professionals who enjoy working with our parents to make sure every child's first year with us is special. The children will each have their own adventures here, full of their very own discoveries.

The perfect start for your three-year-old

The Nursery is beautifully resourced, with high-quality learning equipment and toys; children have specialist music, French and PE lessons each week and our Early Years Foundations Stage curriculum, enhanced by a wide variety of exciting learning opportunities, ensures that each individual child makes excellent progress. The Nursery teaching helps all our children to experiment, investigate and excel in their own individual way. From exploring the science of our local beach to enjoying playing on our large playing field, every child benefits from our broad educational approach.

There is a good balance between learning and play which the children love.”

— Jane, Nursery parent
