Why work at Brighton College?

Life's better by the sea

The College enjoys its location in Brighton, one of the most vibrant cities in Europe. In 2017, a national survey identified Brighton as the happiest city in the UK. It is close to the South Downs countryside, within easy travelling distance of London (about 50 minutes by train), and about 30 minutes from Gatwick Airport. Portsmouth, Newhaven and the Channel Tunnel provide accessible links with the continent. Brighton is also a university city, and the College has good links with both the University of Sussex and Brighton University.

Your health and happiness are our priority

Our HR team work closely with all our staff to create a workplace that is well-balanced, fulfilling and joyful. Our Wellbeing programme is open to all, offering activities such as yoga, Pilates and mindfulness. Further staff benefits include health assessments, a cycle to work scheme and a range of discount vouchers. The College arranges many music, drama and dance performances throughout the year, all of which our staff are welcome to attend.

We are our people

Here at Brighton we work with passionate people. Whether you're at the start of your career or an expert in your field, our reputation attracts some incredible talent. Named Britain's most innovative school by The Week, we appeal to people who are keen to challenge the norm.
