Wednesday 22 – Friday 24 July 2026 (three days)
08:30–17:00
Ages 11 to 18 (year groups 6 to 13)
We invite girls and boys aged 9–14 (not just Brighton College pupils!) to join us for an exciting five-day Music Summer School, where young musicians will develop their skills, explore new styles and collaborate in a vibrant and creative environment.
Hosted across the College’s exceptional facilities, participants will take part in a dynamic programme of ensemble playing, sectional rehearsals and creative workshops. From classical repertoire to jazz and improvisation, pupils will explore a wide range of musical styles while building confidence, teamwork and musicianship.
Led by the Director of Music and a team of expert tutors, including visiting instrumental specialists and guest professional musicians, the week will offer a rich variety of experiences. Pupils will enjoy percussion workshops exploring rhythm and world music, singing sessions to develop vocal confidence and harmony, and music technology workshops in our specialist Tech Room, where they will learn about recording, production and live sound.
The week will culminate in a celebratory concert on the Friday afternoon in the Cairns Theatre, where parents, families and guests will be warmly invited to enjoy a showcase of ensembles, choir performances and workshop highlights.
This is a fantastic opportunity for young musicians to grow in confidence, develop their technical and creative skills, make new friends and experience life at one of the UK’s leading independent schools.
Don’t miss out – we look forward to welcoming you!
A delicious hot lunch will be provided each day, and refreshments will be available throughout the week. If you would like to bring snacks, you are more than welcome, but please note that we are a nut-free school and strictly no nuts are permitted on site.
