The Cairns Theatre was alive with energy and contagious passion as pupils took to the stage for a spectacular Evening of Dance. The highly anticipated showcase celebrated the immense talent, dedication and hard work of our outstanding Show Teams, who had been rehearsing tirelessly in preparation for the prestigious Royal Tunbridge Wells Dance Festival. The audience enjoyed a varied and dynamic programme spanning a wide range of styles. A vibrant performance from our Year 5 pupils brought their Monsters, Inc. routine to life with character and enthusiasm, while our Year 6 pupils delivered an energetic and confident performance of their School of Rock piece. Each routine reflected the dancers’ joy and love of performing, offering a thrilling preview of what was to come at the festival.
Over the weekend, the Show Teams dazzled on stage at the Royal Tunbridge Wells Dance Festival, delivering unforgettable performances that showcased their talent, teamwork and passion for dance. More than 100 pupils, from Year 5 to Upper Sixth, competed in group numbers across a variety of styles, lighting up the competition with their energy and artistry. Competing against leading dance schools from London and the South East, our pupils rose magnificently to the occasion, performing with precision, confidence and exceptional stage presence. Our Year 5 pupils wowed the audience in the 10 Years and Under Large Stage Group category with their Monsters, Inc. piece. and our Year 6 pupils shone in the 14 Years and Under Large Stage Group category with their School of Rock routine, bursting with energy and character. We are immensely proud of every performer who represented the College with such confidence, grace and determination. A huge congratulations to all our dancers for their commitment and excellent performances, and heartfelt thanks to our dedicated dance teachers. It was truly a spectacular celebration of talent and teamwork.
