A huge congratulations to Datis, who achieved an astonishing 7 A-levels, with five A* and two As. As well as being an amazing academic, this achievement reflects his diverse involvement in school life, which included dancing in the school’s Strictly competition and serving as President of the award-winning Robotics Club. He is now heading to Cambridge to read Mechanical Engineering, after receiving offers from the world’s best universities, including turning down Yale to stay in the UK.
Amongst the amazing achievements gained whilst at Brighton College, Datis received 11 9's at GCSE, was a recipient of the Semiconductor Talent Award and the Arkwright National Scholarship for promising early-career engineers, won Gold Awards in both Chemistry and Physics Olympiads, and also regularly played archery for the Sussex County team.
Datis said: "Thank you to all my teachers throughout my time at Brighton College for the support, kindness, patience and expertise they have given me. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunities and facilities I have been offered by the school. I am proud to become an Old Brightonian!"
We wish Datis every success and look forward to hearing about his accomplishments at Cambridge!
