Reception enjoyed an exciting visit from the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service. Arriving in their fire engine, pupils were instantly captivated. The firefighters demonstrated different sections of the truck and explained how each is used during emergencies. The team also highlighted the importance of teamwork, noting that calm thinking and cooperation are essential. Pupils were thrilled to climb inside the fire engine, speak into the walkie-talkies, and even hold the water hoses. Reception were very impressed by the firefighters’ bravery, with several proudly declaring that they hope to be firefighters when they grow up.
