Parents were treated to a wonderful showcase of musical talent as Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 took to the stage and wowed audiences with their confident and engaging performances.
Nursery delighted everyone with a journey through the forest, featuring frogs, squirrels, swallows, an owl, hare, mouse and cat. Their performance beautifully demonstrated their understanding of tempo, dynamics, rhythm and vocal control, and they performed with great enthusiasm and confidence.
Reception brought the traditional tale The Enormous Turnip to life. Their singing vegetables enthusiastically chanted, “Pull, pull, pull!” as the growing cast of characters worked together to free the enormous turnip from the ground, much to the audience’s delight.
Year 1 entertained parents with their lively performance of The Three Billy Goats Gruff. With a fantastic troll lurking beneath the bridge and pupils providing percussion accompaniment throughout, the production was full of energy, character and musicality.
Year 2 concluded the performances with a wonderful collection of songs from around the world. Featuring instrumental accompaniment, ensemble playing, part
singing and multiple time changes, the pupils showcased impressive musical skills and demonstrated just how far they have progressed on their musical journey.
