The best way to experience what life is like at Brighton College is to join us at an Open Morning, where you will have the chance to talk to pupils and teachers about what makes our school such a special place.
Our Nursery artists have been hard at work creating their very own Starlings and Puffins. Using collage techniques, they carefully built the birds’ bodies, then explored printing to form the wings and feet. The pupils discovered that artists don’t always use paintbrushes, sometimes they use printing instead. Printing is all about making a mark, lifting it up, and seeing the image appear again. To bring their birds to life, the pupils even used their own feet to print the Starlings’ claws and the Puffins’ webbed feet – wiggling and stretching their toes to capture the shapes.
