Our Nursery pupils thoroughly enjoyed bringing the story Jasper's Beanstalk to life through a range of engaging learning activities. The story provided a meaningful way to develop their understanding of the days of the week, with pupils growing in confidence as they recalled Jasper's actions each day.
The excitement continued when a special delivery of beans, sent by Jasper himself, arrived at Nursery. Pupils carefully planted their beans, learning how to nurture and care for them as they watched them grow over the following weeks.
To celebrate all of their hard work, Nursery hosted a special planting party with families. Parents joined us to admire the wonderful plants the pupils had nurtured, particularly their impressive beanstalks, which everyone was incredibly proud of. The space was filled with colourful decorations, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, while pupils enthusiastically shared what they had learned about caring for their plants. Families also enjoyed ice creams together as they celebrated the pupils' achievements.
It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the pupils' enthusiasm, curiosity and growing confidence, while bringing together learning, nature and our Nursery community.
