 rainforest day

Our Year 3 Rainforest Day was packed with engaging activities that brought the wonders of the Amazon Rainforest to life.

Pupils rotated through three exciting activities. First, they took part in a Rainforest Immersive Experience using the school's Now Press Play audio technology. This interactive adventure transported them into an endangered rainforest, where they learned fascinating facts about rainforest animals and plants, as well as the devastating effects of deforestation.

Next, during Rainforest Foods, our young explorers discovered the variety of fruits that grow in the rainforest and other tropical climates. They sampled banana, mango, pineapple and orange before creating and enjoying their own delicious rainforest fruit skewers.

Finally, pupils worked collaboratively to create a Rainforest in a Jar, building a miniature rainforest ecosystem. This practical activity helped them understand the delicate balance of the rainforest and the important role each element plays in supporting this unique environment.

It was a fantastic day of immersive, practical and enjoyable learning, and we hope the pupils returned home inspired to share their new knowledge and enthusiasm for the rainforest.
