We are thrilled to share that The Richard Cairns Building has been honoured with a RIBA National Award 2026.
This prestigious recognition celebrates architectural excellence across the UK and is testament to the vision, creativity and collaboration of our building, which has enriched teaching and learning for our pupils.
Our wonderful new performing arts and Sixth Form centre includes a 400-seat theatre, 13 music and performance spaces, dance studio, drama studio, English and computing classrooms, a dedicated Sixth Form study, club and café, plus a global futures centre.
Principal, Richard Cairns, said: "Some say that buildings are of secondary concern in shaping children’s educational experiences - and it is self-evident that teachers matter most. But buildings also inspire learning. They inspire teachers and they inspire pupils."
