Reception enjoyed a wonderful “When I Grow Up I want to be...” Dress-Up Day at school. The pupils arrived in their incredible costumes, dressed as the people they would like to be when they grow up. It was fantastic to see such imaginative ideas, from people who help us in our community to a wide range of exciting future careers.
To begin the day, the pupils took part in a special parade around the school, proudly showing off their amazing outfits to their friends and teachers. They walked
with big smiles and great confidence as everyone admired their creativity. Throughout the day, the pupils took part in a carousel of activities inspired by their future ambitions. They enjoyed a Now Press Play session, listening to a story about people who help us and acting out parts of the adventure, using their imaginations to bring the story to life. During outdoor learning, the pupils worked collaboratively to build structures and resources linked to their chosen jobs, using a variety of materials and demonstrating wonderful teamwork. They also created puppets inspired by their costumes and used them to perform their own puppet shows, sharing stories and role-playing different jobs and adventures.
It was a fantastic day filled with creativity, confidence and big dreams for the future. We loved seeing the pupils so engaged and proud of who they hope to become.
