We are making a few important updates this week to improve our services.
On Tuesday 5 August, we will be upgrading our telephone system. Please note that we will not be able to receive incoming calls in the afternoon.
On Thursday 7 August, our Registration and Open Morning forms will be temporarily unavailable while we perform an essential upgrade.
Thank you for your patience as we work to make these improvements.
Setting off with beach mats, buckets and sunhats, our Year 3 pupils headed to Brighton Beach for another Beach School adventure. The pebbles scattered along the beach became our mathematical playground. They spotted triangles, circles, and squares, counting their sides and angles, then carefully placing them together to create pictures. Pebbles were used for art in our pebble painting activity, where seawater was our magic ‘leave no trace’ paint. We created ladybirds, self-portraits, and abstract pebble patterns, then watched them magically evaporate to become a blank canvas. The refreshing sea was perfect for jumping over the waves, splashing our teacher and cooling off from the warm sun. Our favourite beach books were spread out on a picnic blanket, providing moments of quiet reading and calm. Friends were buried up to their giggling faces in piles of pebbles, shells were hunted, and litter was picked. After all this excitement, we ended the day with a guided meditation before heading back to school smelling of salt and with more special Beach School memories.
