Year 4 pupils were transported back to the fascinating world of the Anglo-Saxons, immersing themselves in the life of a 9th-century village. This history day was filled with exciting activities, including weaving, ink-making, candle dipping, and crafting traditional amulets. Led by Hugh from History Off the Page, the school hall was transformed into a vibrant historical setting, where rumours of impending battles added to the atmosphere and excitement.
In the afternoon, pupils took on the role of archaeologists, carefully examining artefacts and discovering how historians piece together the past. The pupils looked fantastic in their costumes and demonstrated enthusiasm and curiosity throughout.
