Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Fishbourne Roman Palace recently. The pupils had an action-packed day and took part in a variety of Roman-themed activities. They learnt about life in the Roman army, enjoyed writing on wax tablets, designed mosaic patterns and learnt about the history of the Roman villa, which was once there. They also had an interesting Roman food tasting session. The pupils found the villa’s well-preserved mosaic flooring fascinating and enjoyed looking around the little museum and gift shop.
