Year 6 recently returned from an unforgettable five-day adventure at The Towers in North Wales, where pupils explored the stunning landscapes of Snowdonia National Park and challenged themselves in ways they never imagined possible.
Throughout the week, pupils took part in an incredible range of outdoor activities, all expertly led by highly skilled instructors who carefully planned every moment of the experience. From the very first day, Year 6 embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, determination and teamwork. Among the highlights of the trip were gorge scrambling and weaselling through narrow rocky passages, both of which tested pupils’ courage and resilience. Pupils also hiked to the summit of Crimpiau, climbing over 450 metres and being rewarded with breathtaking views across the Welsh mountains. Other memorable activities included abseiling, zip lining and exploring abandoned slate mines deep within the mountains of North Wales.
The week provided countless opportunities for pupils to step outside their comfort zones, support one another and build confidence and independence. It was wonderful to see so many pupils encouraging their friends and celebrating each other’s achievements throughout the trip. Most importantly, the pupils returned home full of smiles, stories and memories that will stay with them for many years to come. The Towers trip was truly a unique and unforgettable experience, and we are incredibly proud of the way Year 6 represented the school during such an exciting week away.
