Head’s House took on a 24-hour Rowathon in memory of our much-loved Chemistry teacher, Pete Bellenger to raise funds and awareness for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
This epic challenge demanded both physical and mental resilience, and the boys rose to it superbly. Their determination, and willingness to support one another throughout the 24 hours was what makes Head’s House special, with some boys contributing as much as seven hours of rowing across the event. We were also thrilled to have the Head Master join us rowing in our final hour on Friday early morning.
We were also very excited to receive the support of Brighton legend Norman Cook, aka superstar DJ Fatboy Slim, who generously gave up his time to row and donated a unique signed and framed piece of memorabilia. This one of a kind item will now be raffled, with every £1 donated equating to one raffle ticket. All proceeds from the raffle will go directly to the MNDA and its vital work supporting those affected by Motor Neurone Disease.
Thank you to everyone who rowed, donated, and supported the event to remember Pete Bellenger.
