A massive well done to Taylor who represented England at the SIAB Cross Country International home nations competition in Bangor over the holidays.
Taylor ran brilliantly to finish in an amazing third place, helping Team England secure gold. Taylor was the top placed Year 10 in the race and this is hopefully only the beginning of his time in an England vest.
We spoke with Taylor’s team manager after the event, who said: “He ran a very brave and impressive race and was not in the least fazed by the occasion. The fact that he came 8th at the Nationals the week before did not affect his approach to the race. He set his stall out from the start and by the time he had finished the first of four laps went into 4th position with a group of England boys. He gradually shook off the group he was running with, finishing in well-deserved bronze position.”
This is an incredible achievement and we are extremely proud of him. This now sets him up for a very exciting season ahead!
